This is only a small story, but still a significant sign of God's provision and faithfulness to the community in Fiaferana, Madagascar...
It was not long ago that the agricultural situation in Fiaferana was not so good. The community mainly had some small family plots that hosted chickens, ducks, and pigs. In the grand scheme of things, this is actually a monumental accomplishment! And we are certainly praising God. From that time, though, those small localized projects have expanded to also include rabbits and the opening of a small business! Because the food production has become more stable, it has allowed other parts of the community to thrive economically.
I guess all of this goes to show just how vital a pig or a rabbit can be to a community. It may not seem like much, but as resources grow over time there is real potential for significant change and growth.
